James Kraft
The third founder of New Medical and our MD, James is from Seattle. After a degree in economics from Stanford, he swapped the Californian lifestyle for that well-known European equivalent, Germany. Since then, he has married a Liverpudlian and has now spent over half his life living in Europe, mainly involved in business start-ups.
James has built 6 companies from start-up to profitability in the areas of technology, media and healthcare. Prior to co-founding New Medical, James was co-founder, Managing Director and Vice President – Europe of the Motley Fool Europe. The Motley Fool (www.fool.co.uk) was one of the most succesful UK dot com start-ups of the late 90s and beyond and one of the few profitable online content companies. Under James’ guidance the Motley Fool grew to the second most recognised online finance brand behind FT.com.
